The Spirit’s Relationship to Humans

Who is the Holy Spirit?

John 4:24, 1 Corinthians 2:10-11, Matthew 28:19, 1st John 5:6-7

The Holy Spirit is one with God The Father and God The Son. He is a real person who is part of the Holy Trinity. The Holy Spirt is God.

The Spirit lives in us, gives us the ability to do what God calls us to do, and fights for His people.

The Spirit's Role in Salvation

Without The Holy Spirit fighting with us and trying to get us to realize our need of salvation, we would never come to Christ and ask for forgiveness. Any redeemable quality in a human is the Holy Spirit fighting against our fallen nature. The Holy Spirit sanctifies us. We can't be saved without Jesus, and we also can't be saved without The Holy Spirit.
